HG (Higher Grounds) is a family of small coffee shops in Mesa and Apache Junction. Dianna Cameron is the General Manager had the dream to open a coffee shop since she was a little girl, working at her parent’s sandwich shop. The family works together to provide great fresh roasted coffee along side excellent breakfast and lunch items at the Mesa Location. Their idea is to bring the average joe an amazing cup of joe.
Dianna's son, Evan, is the master roaster at the coffee shop. Four times a week he roasts micro batches on his 10 lb capacity Diedrich Roaster. We now use a 20lb capacity Mill City Roaster to Apache Junction.
As of May 2025 We are no longer offering coffee shipments. Coffee can be picked up at one of our distribution locations.

Apparel and gear can be returned up to 30 days from the date of purchase for in-store credit, a refund, or a replacement. In the rare event that the post office damaged your package/order.
A claim must be made with the post office.
The link below states that the sender or the recipient may make a claim with details of the amount the package is worth with the tracking number.

If the package is paid for in full, and it was sent with Priority Mail, there is 100$ of insurance for the product.
You may control over the claim and receive a full monetary refund for the package.

Yes, we have two locations that function as a coffee shop/cafe/roasteries. You are able to purchase beans for immediate pick-up between 7:30am-2pm Tuesday - Saturday. Please note: The coffee shop, while it is directly related to the online store, is run separately from the immediate food service operations in Mesa. If you have any detailed questions, about specific orders, please email dani@hgroastery.com.
How do I enter discount codes?
On the last page, before your click "Complete my purchase," there will be a box where you can enter your discount code. Once you have entered the code, click "Apply." Your total amount will be updated to reflect the discount.
How do I store my coffee?
We recommend storing your coffee beans in a cool dry place (65 to 70 degrees) with little to no UV light. For long term storage please store your coffee in a refrigerator, in an air tight container, without disruption (meaning: without opening and closing the container), to preserve freshness. We never use any preservatives in our coffees to keep them as natural as possible.
