9 years ago a family worked together to open HG (Higher Grounds) Roastery and Cafe in Gilbert, Arizona. The ‘Mother Shop’ serves a full breakfast and lunch menu along with Coffee roasted by our Master Roaster: Evan.
Evan and Dani (husband and wife) have been working at the location in Gilbert since opening it in 2013.
Evan and Dani are now happy for the opportunity to expand to Superstition Ranch Farmers Market in Apache Junction after a series of fortunate events that led to a good match!
Their goal is to introduce the local community to the best coffee and service they’ve ever experienced.
The coffee shop in AJ features traditional cafe drinks like lattes, americanos, and mochas - while also appealing to the sweeter, contemporary palettes with creamy blended frappes and energy drink mixes. The menu is straightforward. Our coffee beans are available for purchase by the pound and ½ pound - as well as available for shipment online at hgcoffeeaz.com
All baked goods are freshly baked and handmade by Dani, featuring jumbo muffins, cinnamon rolls, and large scones. Also delicious chocolate chip cookies!

HG is a single shop, family owned, locally operated café. Dianna Cameron is the General Manager, with her son and daughter in-law (Evan and Dani). Dianna had the dream to open a coffee shop since she was a little girl, working at her parent’s sandwich shop. The family works together to provide great fresh roasted coffee along side excellent breakfast and lunch items. Their idea is to bring the average joe an amazing cup of joe.
Currently they are offering food takeout, delivery, pick-up, and curbside pick-up service.
Also available for delivery through GrubHub, UberEats, DoorDash. Online order direct, and also coffee beans by the pound can be delivered or shipped.
